Description : 

On Sunday, May 2nd, at 4:30 pm, the St. Stephen`s church choir, lead by director Mark van Schenkhof, will perform Felix Mendelssohn`s oratorio, Elijah. Episodes from the life of Elijah, taken from the books 1 Kings and 2 Kings, tell the dramatic story of the life of the prophet.

Featured soloists will be: Maria Whisenand, soprano, Deborah Berruete-Fuhrman, mezzo soprano, David Reck, tenor, and Daniel Klein, bass.

There is no charge for this concert. Come and enjoy the beauty and power of this magnificent piece of music, then join us for a reception to follow the concert.

Description :  Parade starts at 10AM on Port Washington Blvd. and continues down Main Street to the John Philip Sousa Memorial Bandshell in Sunset Park. The Chamber of Commerce will be giving away flags to people along the parade route, before the parade starts.

Description :  Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Sands- Willets House, circa 1735, is the headquarters of the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society. From May through October, it is open for guided tours of its 10 fully furnished rooms on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, from 2pm - 4pm. Also included is a tour of the 1600`s Dutch barn.
