Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman emcees the largest Easter egg hunt on LI, with a free brunch, children`s Easter Bonnet Contest, prizes and Meet Mr. Bunny. Anyone who lives in or cares about Port Washington can make a difference. Sweep sidewalks, pick up litter, plant around tree beds or wash windows. Official certificates of Community Service will be issued. Wear work clothes. Organized by the Residents For A More Beautiful Port Washington in conjunction with the Town of North Hempstead, Chamber of Commerce, Business Improvement District, Police District, Garbage District, School District and the Long Island Railroad.

The Thomas Dodge House, circa 1721, is the oldest house in Port Washington and a living museum administered by the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society.
